
Sometimes it seems like weight loss is beyond what we think we can do. After a few weeks of dieting, your motivation may fade and it can be tempting to quit. Initially, plan exactly what you hope to achieve with your weight loss regimen. Do you want to fit back into your favorite outfit? Is there an ideal weight that you would like to reach? Do you want to feel better?
Track your progress in a journal. Don’t weigh yourself too often, though. Weighing yourself more often than that can cause stress. Keep a ledger that lists all the food you eat, along with the amount of calories consumed. Make sure you write down little stuff, like drinks and snacks, too. You should not buy any foods that you are tempted to eat in excess. Common indulgences are chips, cookies and candy. If it’s inconvenient to get your hands on a certain kind of food, then you are more likely to eat something else that is healthier for you.
Look towards your friends for moral support when you decide to lose weight. Even though the weight loss is your responsibility, it’s essential to have the support of others in order to stay motivated. Your friends are there to help you stay motivated.
