Keep a food diary or log to keep yourself responsible for what you eat. Knowing that you have to write down bad choices will make you less likely to actually choose them.


Keep healthy snacks with you in case you get hungry during the day to prevent yourself from slipping up. Otherwise, you may be tempted by fast food or junk food. Instead, know exactly what you plan to eat and have it on hand. You’ll easily resist temptation and save money too!


Being able to balance healthy eating and exercise is the key to permanent weight loss. It is important that you exercise three times a week or more. If this has been where you have failed in the past, plan instead to incorporate exercise into things you already enjoy. Ask your friends to walk with you. Hiking is another great way to lose weight. By keeping things such as fruits, veggies and granola bars stocked in your house, you will be more likely to choose these more healthy treats. You will definitely reduce the amount of junk food you eat by making it less accessible.


Reach out to your family and friends. That’s what friends are for. If you are surrounded with positivity and people who support you, your chances of success will increase dramatically.
